Winter porridge

The ideal basis for a good start to the day! Refined with virgin linseed oil and fresh fruit, a treat not only on cold winter days.

50 g Oat flakes
1 Banana
250 ml Water, milk or plant-based drink
Honey or maple syrup
1 Kiwi
½ Oranges
Cashew nuts
1 Pinch Cinnamon

Briefly toast the rolled oats in a pan over a high heat. Pour the milk, plant-based drink or water into a pan with a pinch of salt and heat up. Mash a ripe banana and stir into the liquid. Then add the lightly toasted rolled oats and bring the mixture to the boil, stirring constantly. Simmer the porridge for about five minutes until the porridge has thickened nicely. Sweeten to taste with honey or, for the vegan version, with maple syrup.
Serve the finished porridge in a bowl with cinnamon, linseed oil, cashews and the pre-cut fruit.

Our tip:
The basic recipe can be adapted to suit the current season or your own stocks. Apples, pears or fresh or frozen berries of any kind are also delicious with it.
