Star chef Alex Huber
A family business with tradition – the Huberwirt inn in neighboring Pleiskirchen has been family-owned for over 400 years, making it one of the oldest inns in Germany. In 2005, the baton in the kitchen was passed on to the 11th generation and thus to the young chef Alexander Huber.
Alexander Huber is a member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs D’Europe and was awarded the Michelin star for the first time in 2013 – the most prestigious award for chefs and restaurants. He has always attached great importance to top quality and varied enjoyment in his creations – as we do with our products. Andrea Sonnberger and Michael Moßbacher also experienced this after moving to rural Pleiskirchen and visiting the restaurant for the first time. Instead of a “pleasure diaspora”, a like-minded person awaited them, who inspired them with his creative dishes and shared their passion for high-quality delicatessen products. Alexander Huber also attaches great importance to using regional ingredients wherever possible – preferably of the best organic quality.
Over the years, the initial discussions developed into an increasingly intensive exchange with the Huber family. We are delighted that this ultimately led to a joint partnership with Alexander Huber. He has been using our products for a long time and, due to their high organic quality, is happy to recommend them in cooking courses or to colleagues and uses them to create the finest gourmet recipes for his discerning guests.
