Stephanie Moßbacher retires from Byodo management
She will remain a shareholder in the family business
Mühldorf – 13.11.2025: After ten years with the company, five of them in management, founder’s daughter Stephanie Moßbacher is retiring from operational business. As a shareholder, she will remain closely associated with the family business and will actively support its future development. Bernd Hochstädter will continue to manage the company.
At the end of 2025, Stephanie Moßbacher will retire from the management team and follow her father Michael Moßbacher and Andrea Sonnberger into an active shareholder role. Byodo thus remains a family business. The three family shareholders will continue to be involved in strategic, ground-breaking decisions, even if they are no longer actively involved in day-to-day business.
As Managing Director, Stephanie Moßbacher has successfully aligned Byodo for the future. She has initiated numerous pioneering projects in the areas of digitalization, modern management culture and sustainability. Through her commitment and work, important milestones have been achieved, such as the first IFS “Higher Level” certification, the successful ZNU sustainability certification and the top employer rating for employee satisfaction on Kununu.
“The way we have mastered the challenges of recent years as a team and set the course for the future makes me proud,” says the outgoing Managing Director.
In keeping with the company name, the common path, Bernd Hochstädter, who joined the company in 2024 as Managing Director for Sales and Purchasing, will continue to manage the operational business with a competent management team.
“Byodo is in a very solid position and ready for the coming years,” he concludes, looking at the figures. “Our company has great growth potential for the future thanks to its diverse business areas, such as the Byodo brand for retail, the CateringLine for communal catering, raw materials, private label and our own organic full-range supplier Feinsinn, as well as gourmet cuisine,” says the business economist.
The company’s newest division, catering for daycare centers, schools and businesses, has almost tripled from 600 to 1700 meals per day since its expansion in 2024. The company is aiming for further growth of over 50% here. “We know how to prepare healthy and enjoyable food. This story is unbeatable – as evidenced by the numbers of our most recent, satisfied customers,” smiles the health-conscious Managing Director and invites “Anyone who wants to experience this can see for themselves at any time in our gourmet kitchen at our location in Mühldorf am Inn.”
In addition to Byodo employees, the varied organic lunch menu is also popular with guests from the surrounding area.
Bernd Hochstädter is delighted that his former managing director colleague will remain with him as a partner. He and the entire Byodo team would like to thank Stephanie Moßbacher for her passion, dedication and energetic commitment to Byodo over the past 10 years.
