New protein crispbread from Byodo

Pulses in crispy slices


Mühldorf, January 2024: There’s a crunch in the box – and out comes a new crispbread! Byodo Naturkost supplements the Rice & Corn and Rice & Chickpea varieties with Protein Crispbread made purely from pulses.


The new protein crispbread consists of a fine mixture of pea, lentil and chickpea flour of the highest organic quality. These ingredients are used to bake extra fluffy and particularly crispy slices, which are seasoned with just a pinch of sea salt. The legume mix not only gives the crispbreads a delicious, hearty taste, but also a high vegetable protein content. This makes the organic crispbreads ideal for a vegetarian or vegan diet. They are also a valuable source of fiber.


The protein crispbread tastes just as delicious on its own as a snack as it does topped with cheese, sausage or plant-based alternatives. Topped with spreads – sweet or savory – as well as for dipping or as a delicious base for canapés, it makes a wonderful change from normal bread rolls.


The protein crispbread is packed in the tried-and-tested mono portions. They guarantee long-lasting freshness and crispiness right up to the last slice. They are also particularly practical for snacking on the go. The plastic film and cardboard can also be easily sorted for disposal and recycled.
