Double the reason to celebrate
About 1,500 guests attended the 10th-anniversary celebration of Feinsinn and the Byodo Culinary Experience Day
Mühldorf – October 2026: On October 9 and 10, approximately 1,500 guests celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Feinsinn organic grocery store and gourmet kitchen at Byodo Naturkost’s Culinary Experience Day in Mühldorf am Inn. The celebration marked a double milestone: Byodo itself turned forty in 2025. The organic grocery store with its gourmet kitchen, built in 2016, celebrated its 10th anniversary together with customers, families, and business partners. Despite the rain, the atmosphere in the organic grocery store and at the “Grüne Mitte” was fantastic.
From interactive concerts for kids to live music
The event kicked off on Friday, October 9, with a sing-along concert featuring Rodscha & Tom: 200 children and parents sang and danced among the plants and trees of the Grüne Mitte. The large organic breakfast buffet quickly drew a crowd, followed by an organic lunch in the Genussküche, and free tastings in the store invited visitors to sample the offerings all day long.
At the official welcome ceremony, which included a champagne reception, Second Mayor Stefan Lasner, State Parliament Representative Markus Saller, and Herbert Prost, branch manager of the Mühldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry, offered their congratulations. Lasner described Feinsinn as a place of well-being where shopping and dining become an experience. Saller called Feinsinn and the children’s catering service an asset to the Mühldorf region. Prost presented the Chamber of Commerce and Industry certificate commemorating Byodo’s 40th anniversary. Managing Director Bernd Hochstädter emphasized the two reasons to celebrate: “Last year, we celebrated Byodo’s 40th anniversary. What began as a vision to produce delicious, high-quality organic products that truly taste good has grown into a medium-sized organic company providing 120 jobs in the region. This year we’re celebrating 10 years of Feinsinn: a labor of love, a full-range organic grocery store for the region where people can meet, try new things, linger, enjoy themselves, and have a good time.” Feinsinn Store Manager Marcus Hofer thanked his team, without whom the day would not have been possible.
Starting at 5 p.m., the band The Tumblin’ Tones got the guests dancing to rockabilly, and later in the evening, the band Low Hanging Fruit kept the party going.
A Look Behind the Scenes
At the same time, Byodo offered workshops and guided tours throughout the afternoon: Michelin-starred chef Alexander Huber created something extraordinary from simple ingredients; in sensory workshops, guests could immerse themselves in the world of mustard tasting and the diverse flavors of oils; vegan professional chef Sebastian Copien led cooking workshops on rediscovering and preserving vegetables; there was a craft workshop for children as well as guided tours of the daycare kitchen and the facility. The Bavarian Organic Queen, Lena Reichtalhammer—Lena I. from the Traunstein district—also took time to participate in workshops and guided tours. “We’re especially pleased that the facility tours sold out so quickly and that we were able to add additional dates on short notice. We owe this to our fantastic team: Everyone worked together brilliantly and supported one another. That’s how this special day became a complete success for us,” says Bernd Hochstädter, managing director of Byodo.
