Byodo launches first organic Protein PLUS pasta on the market
20% protein, 100% pasta enjoyment
Mühldorf – October 2025: Byodo Naturkost, the pioneer of organic enjoyment, is launching the new Protein PLUS Pasta, the first Protein PLUS organic pasta in Germany. The innovative recipe made from Italian durum wheat semolina, protein-rich wheat protein and high-quality pumpkin seed flour provides 20% protein – and tastes just like classic pasta. The innovative pasta variant will be available in stores from November 1, 2025 in the varieties fusilli, macaroni and trottole.
The launch follows a clear trend: the market for high-protein pasta is growing at double-digit rates, but there is currently no pasta in the organic segment that has a higher protein content and also tastes like conventional pasta. “This is where Byodo comes in with a clear differentiation: We are combining our long-standing pasta expert status with the growing trend towards high-protein diets and providing a genuine premium solution for anyone who wants to consciously consume more protein when enjoying pasta and at the same time doesn’t want to miss out on the classic pasta taste,” says Miriam Kaufmann, Head of Product Management and Marketing at Byodo Naturkost GmbH.
Protein PLUS pasta is 100% plant-based, contains only 100% organic ingredients from agricultural cultivation and impresses with its traditional production in Italy. The protein content is around 70% higher* than conventional pasta made from durum wheat semolina. This makes it ideal for athletes, active people and anyone who values a high-protein diet. Byodo Protein PLUS pasta is available in fusilli, macaroni and trottole varieties in 400 g carton packs.
