10,000 € prize money for social commitment
Byodo announces winners of the BIObegeistert promotion
Mühldorf – December 2025: Byodo Naturkost, the value-based family business from Mühldorf am Inn, announces the winners of this year’s BIObegeistert sponsorship. The prize money will be distributed among the three organizations: WerkstattKinder e.V, Förderverein Bauernhoftiere bewegen Menschen e.V. and Freie Waldorfschule Lernort Nieperfitz. The initiative supports daycare centers, schools and associations in getting children and young people excited about organic products and making sustainable action tangible at an early age.
After an exciting voting phase with almost 2,200 votes, three organizations stood out in particular. WerkstattKinder e.V. took first place with 248 votes and received prize money of €5,000. The project “From workbench to cooking pot” combines creative, manual work with nature and nutrition education for crèche and kindergarten children. The funding will go towards converting the kitchen into a hands-on kitchen suitable for children, workshops, overnight stays on an organic farm and the creation of a small organic garden.
In second place was the Förderverein Bauernhoftiere bewegen Menschen e.V. with 187 votes, which was awarded €3,000. With the project “Da lachen ja die Hühner”, pupils with physical disabilities experience animal-assisted education on an organic farm. The funding supports visits to keep chickens, feed production and the promotion of motor, social and cognitive skills.
Third place went to the Freie Waldorfschule Lernort Nieperfitz with 172 votes and can look forward to receiving €2,000. In the “Better learning with organic berries” project, pupils plant around 150 organic berry bushes, tend and harvest them and process the fruit into jam or fruit leather. In the process, they acquire practical knowledge in cultivation, harvesting and processing as well as skills in nutrition education and appreciation of organic food.
“We are delighted with the commitment of the institutions and would like to thank everyone who cast their vote. The promotion shows how important it is to raise children’s awareness of healthy, sustainable nutrition at an early age,” says Christina Brenninger, Byodo Naturkost spokeswoman. Parallel to the announcement of the winners, the new vote for the “BioBegeistert” promotion 2027 has already started. Interested institutions can submit their projects until September 30, 2026 at https://www.byodo.de/nachhaltigkeit/soziales-engagement/biobegeistert and secure their chance to win a total of €10,000 in funding.
Byodo combines the aim of introducing even the youngest members of society to organic products and inspiring them to act sustainably with its own claim to high-quality organic enjoyment. “It is also important to offer child-friendly solutions for products such as our children’s ketchup with less salt and sugar.” This commitment was recently awarded the prestigious “Best Organic” consumer prize – proof of the uncompromising quality that Byodo guarantees in all its products.
The “BioBegeistert” initiative is part of Byodos’ long-term social commitment. With this support, the company is making a contribution to sustainable nutritional education and demonstrating that organic quality and social responsibility go hand in hand.
