Baking Oil Exquisite

The organic Byodo Baking Oil Exquisite is a delicious alternative to butter in sweet recipes. It is refined with precious organic plum kernel oil and thus gives baked goods a slightly sweet taste reminiscent of marzipan.

The organic Baking Oil Exquisite gives quark and yeast doughs and batters a naturally sweet finish. It turns baked goods into sweet dreams which stay fresh and moist for even longer.

You can replace the amount of butter stated in your favourite recipes with 80% Byodo Baking Oil and 20% liquid such as water or milk.

    "Simply Exquisite" cake

    Take ...

    • 125 ml Baking Oil Exquisite
    • 25 g water
    • 80 g sugar
    • 1 pinch Byodo Sea Salt
    • 3 eggs
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • 200 g flour + a little extra for dusting the tin
    • 2 level tsp baking powder
    • Byodo Baking Spray Oil

     

     

    Method:

     

    Begin by mixing the baking oil together with the water, sugar and salt until the sugar has dissolved. Then mix in the eggs one by one. Combine the flour and baking powder and then add to the batter with the milk and mix well.

    Grease the tin with Baking Spray Oil and dust with flour. Add the batter to the tin, carefully spread out evenly and bake in a preheated oven for approximately 1 hour at 150°C. Shortly before the end of the baking time, use a skewer to test if the cake is done. Then allow the cake to rest for 10 minutes before removing from the tin.

    Our tip:

    The ingredients should ideally be at room temperature when preparing the batter. The same batter can also be used to make muffins or as a base for a cake topped with fruit, for example. There is also a wealth of possibilities for new varieties through the addition of nuts, spices or berries.

    As the Baking Oil Exquisite already lends a gentle sweetness to the batter, 80 g sugar is sufficient instead of the 100 g given in classic recipes.
