A little helper that’s a big help! The Byodo Baking Spray Oil ensures the high-quality organic oil made from high-oleic sunflower seeds can be used sparingly in baking tins, waffle irons, etc.

    Vegan yeast braid

    Take ...

    Method:

     

    Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Stir the yeast together with a little lukewarm milk and flour in the well. Leave to rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.

    Now add the baking oil, egg and remainder of the milk to the bowl and knead to produce a smooth dough. The yeast dough needs to rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes with the bowl just lightly covered with a tea towel.

    Then knead the dough through briefly again and cut it into three equal portions. Roll the three portions into long strands and braid. Now place the braid on a baking tray and spray with Baking Spray Oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C with top and bottom heat for around 35-40 minutes.

     

    Our tip:

    The vegan yeast braid is even more delicious and visually appealing if sprinkled with chopped almonds or coarse sugar before being baked.
